It is impossible to quantify Al’s contributions to our skating community. We are incredibly grateful to have shared the ice, the boardroom, a beer, and the dance floor with Coach Brown.
Jon Fritz - President
Jon Fritz is passionate about creating an ice rink for our community. He has been skating locally since 2007. Jon rallied for local pond hockey and as momentum grew, flooded the old tennis courts near the current rink location. Jon has been key in making many projects happen in the community such as: biking and walking infrastructure, Salida School District garden, the wellness department at HRRMC, Poncha Springs Disc Golf Course improvements, Total Wellness Retreat at Mt Princeton Hot Springs and starting the Simple Lodge & Hostel located on First St.
Mark Hammer - Vice President
Mark is a resident to Chaffee County and is as passionate as they come to bringing ice sports to our area. Mark brings an entrepreneurial spirit to the team and has sought out several key components to the ice rink; boards and glass from Colorado College, and a Zamboni!
